This position is ideal for a sharp, deadline-driven writer with a passion for reporting residential and commercial real estate, the ever-evolving Dallas housing landscape, and translating complex housing issues into clear, engaging stories for our audience.

Key Responsibilities: ? Weekend Editor Duties: ? Edit and publish weekend content, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and engagement. ? Monitor real estate and local news for timely coverage opportunities. ? Reporter Duties: ? Write 7 stories weekly. ? Build and maintain relationships with North Texas officials, developers, and industry insiders. ? Report on policy changes affecting real estate, affordability, and development trends. ? Repurpose press releases as more detailed reports as needed.

What We?re Looking For:
? Strong journalism background with experience covering news, real estate, or business.
? Ability to manage multiple stories with daily deadlines.
? Skilled writer and editor with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
? Knowledge of Dallas? real estate market and city hall landscape is a plus.
? Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small, dynamic team as a freelance writer/editor.
