Department: Library Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Part Time Library Technician reports directly to the Library Director. The Library Technician is responsible for providing library services by maintaining a welcoming environment conducive to research and study, and enforcing college/library policies. Work will include evening and weekend (Sunday) hours. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: ? Assisting patrons in accessing physical and digital library resources, and in basic troubleshooting related to library computers/printers/copiers/scanners ? Performing circulation duties through the library?s integrated library system ? Maintaining accessibility of the library collection through daily shelf-reading, adhering to the Library of Congress Classification System ? Assisting in the processing and repair of library materials ? Adhering, at all times, to laws and policies governing student and patron privacy ? Work cooperatively, professionally and respectfully in all interactions and communications ? Assisting in opening and closing duties as scheduled ? Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The formal education equivalent of high school diploma Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of the minimum qualifications upon approval of the Chancellor.
