Who We Are

Our Product Design team creates delightful experiences that solve complex problems for our clients, riders, parents CareDrivers, and our internal teams. We take pride in building intuitive, accessible, and scalable products that support HopSkipDrive?s mission of creating opportunity for all through mobility.
? Lead and mentor a team of talented UI/UX designers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, stepping in as a player-coach to design when necessary
? Develop and implement a cohesive design system and component library to ensure consistency and scalability across our products
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, and User Researchers, to gather requirements, define user flows, and create intuitive user interfaces
? Oversee the end-to-end design process, from user research and wireframing to prototyping and visual design
? Advocate for user-centered design principles, ensuring that our products are accessible, inclusive, and meet the needs of our diverse users
? Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to improve our design processes and tools

Who You Are

You?re a passionate and experienced design leader with a strong understanding of user-centered design principles. You have a proven track record of leading and mentoring design teams, and you?re excited about the opportunity to build and scale our design practice at HopSkipDrive. You?re also:
? 6+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years in a design leadership role
? A strong portfolio demonstrating your experience in leading and shipping successful consumer-facing products
? Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
? Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
? Experience in developing and implementing design systems and component libraries
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
? Experience working in an agile environment and a track record of delivering results on time and within budget
? Passion for creating products that make a positive impact in the lives of others

HopSkipDrive is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Los Angeles, CA is $130,000 ? $160,000. This position is remote and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate?s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options.
