Compensation: The initial compensation for this role is equity only and can be half time to begin with, if needed. This means there is no cash compensation currently. About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Knowledge and Information Manager who wants to join us in building the first business-centric content platform on the internet. This individual would play an important role in managing the Content on our platform and its appropriate classification. They would also manage the granularity and integrity of our industry hierarchy taxonomies, which serve as the backbone of our platform and are critical for our classification infrastructure. These tasks would be done by reviewing the work of the Research & Content Team and providing feedback, assistance, and training to team members as needed.

Beyond these two core tasks, our Research & Content Team plays a vital role in other areas as well. Many of the improvements that are made on the platform stem from our team?s needs and ideas, and these improvements need to be defined, documented, and demonstrated to the Product Team and others for them to be incorporated. Also, our team is integral in the onboarding process for new users, and so we work closely with our new users to ensure that our hierarchy taxonomies can properly represent their content and that their content gets classified in a timely manner. The Content and Research Manager would be responsible for paving the way for the above to occur on our platform.

As we expand our Research and Content Team, we plan on splitting them into two teams, one for Research and one for Content. At that time this manager would take responsibility for one of these two teams as we continue to expand our operations.

What You Will be Doing
? Managing the Content and Industry Hierarchy Taxonomies on the platform to ensure maximum breadth, granularity, and accuracy
? Assisting in timely onboarding and classifying of content from new platform users
? Auditing the compliance of our content to ensure alignment with our policies
? Collaborating with the AI Team to train our model automatically extract metadata and classify content
? Assisting Product Team in determining requirements of new platform features
? Assisting Sales and Marketing by recording platform demo videos
? Assisting in Recruiting and Training new team members
? Participating in group meetings, collaborating on team projects
? Meeting with and assisting individual team members
? Thinking outside the box on how to add value to the platform
? Brainstorming with team on how to further improve and expand on our methodology
? Once the Research and Content Team grows large enough to split between Content and Research, managing one of these two teams

Other team members are experienced in library science, data analysis, project management, business analytics, industry research, product management, and other specialties. Training

We provide extensive on-the-job training to ensure a team member?s success. Our training program starts with a 2-week overview of our methodology, syntax, tools, and platform at large, which is followed by a 4-week intensive on metadata extraction and industry classification with hands-on application. Ongoing long-term training occurs during team meetings from week to week.

Qualifications & Requirements

? Excels in and enjoys Research, Organization, and Attention to Detail

? Team leadership experience

? Strong English Grammar and Communication skills

? Access to the internet and ability to participate in video conferences

? Must be located in US Time Zones (EST - HST) for the sake of being able to attend team meetings regularly

? Preferred degrees in Library and Information Science, Digital Asset Management, CMS Management, Knowledge Engineering, Ontology Engineering, or related field

? Minimum of 5 years of Research Experience in Business, Industry, or related field

? Minimum availability of 20hrs per week. A one-year commitment is required

? Regular availability through-out the week

? Platform/Database Design experience a plus but not required
