UX Designer (Open to Remote) - Radwell - Willingboro, NJ - work from home job Company: Radwell Job description: JOB SUMMARY Monday to Friday 8am-5pm We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our rapidly growing in-house digital and ecommerce teams. As the Senior UI/UX Designer, you will take ownership of our flagship website, radwell.com, as well as other sites in our portfolio. You will lead a team that includes a Junior UI/UX Designer, with the potential for further team expansion as we scale. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: May be modified from time to time. Other duties may be assigned. • Overhaul and bring radwell.com up to modern UI/UX standards • Understand our customers through analytics and customer journey tools to identify and address pain points and bottlenecks. • Create beautiful and consistent designs that enhance the browsing experience on our websites. • Utilize UI/UX tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar software to develop and refine designs. • Employ analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, FullStory, or similar tools to gain insights and optimize user experiences. • Balance the desire for significant large-scale changes with the current strategy of incremental improvements (we’re open to all suggestions though) • Collaborate with website product managers, developers, paid ads managers, SEO experts, product merchandising teams, subject matter experts, and possibly customers to gather insights and drive effective design solutions. • Foster a collaborative work environment and inspire a passion for excellence within the team. • Prioritize and focus design efforts based on supporting evidence and performance-driven goals. • Keep up with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance our UI/UX capabilities. Requirements • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a focus on web design and user experience to drive tangible results • Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and projects that highlight your ability to create aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly interfaces. • Extensive knowledge of UI/UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar software. • Proficiency in utilizing analytics tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, FullStory, or similar platforms. • Experience in overhauling and revamping websites to meet modern design standards. • Ability to balance the desire for visually appealing designs with the need to drive performance and conversions. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Passion for staying updated with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and best practices. • Experience managing and mentoring junior designers is a plus. • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and an eagerness to outperform competitors. • 5+ years as an individual contributor or manager of UI/UX • 5+ years working in eCommerce / digital marketing • 2+ years managing at least 1 other direct report • Strong experience using data to analyze, identify, and prioritize opportunities • An innovative, self-starting personality with a history of gaining new skills and using your intuition to improve products • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to support internal and external communication • Highly tuned time management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail • A desire for total domination – to absolutely crush the competition and provide a product that is second to none Bonus Points If… • You have coding experience or other cross-functional understanding • You have experience with large traffic or revenue website • You have experience in the electrical, automation, MRO or similar “parts” type industries. • You have management experience • You have experience working remotely • You live in the Dallas, Los Angeles, or Philadelphia areas METRICS • Increase in key website performance metrics such as ability for customers to find what they’re looking, satisfaction scores, web revenue, conversion rates, etc. • Consistently meet monthly deadlines and objectives • Handle ongoing projects and day-to-day demands that are not identified in formal monthly objectives in a timely and accurate manner • Adherence to any related budget expenses • Adherence to/achievement of benefits described in project business case (cost/benefit) analyses KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED • Ability to make and keep commitments to the team • Ability to solve complex problems • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical skills in both a classroom and independent-study setting • Attention to detail • Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Goal oriented project management skills EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • BS or equivalent degree or experience in a business or technology related discipline such eCommerce, Computer Science, Marketing, Information Systems or comparable work experience. • UI/UX: 5+ years (Required) • eCommerce / Digital Marketing: 5+ years (Required) PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Continuous sitting and typing for extended periods. • Occasional, reaching/working overhead, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling • Lifting requirements include occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY • Probationary Review – A written evaluation of the employee’s performance will be issued to determine permanent placement in this position. This is typically done approximately 80 days after placement. • Monthly Evaluations – A monthly written assessment will be issued which briefly describes the individual’s performance in this position. • Annual Reviews – A more detailed review of the overall performance in this position, where the employee is rated and typically compensated in accordance with that rate. WORK SCHEDULE This is an exempt position which requires a work schedule that will achieve the results and objectives identified by the company and ecommerce management. Generally the company operates and most of those who will interface with this position work normal business hours which are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Nights and weekends may required at times based on current project and implementation needs, deadlines, and workload.
