Telemetry RN - Lenexa, KS

Provide specialized nursing care on a cardiac telemetry unit, contributing to the recovery and well-being of patients recovering from cardiac procedures. This contract opportunity is based in Lenexa, KS, at a newly established Cardiac Specialty Unit within a reputable medical center. This role involves working with a team of experienced nursing staff, including charge nurses, patient care technicians, and unit secretaries, ensuring a supportive and efficient work environment. Responsibilities include: • Monitoring cardiac patients post-procedure using telemetry equipment • Managing IV medication titration such as cardiac drugs, heparin, and insulin • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care • Utilizing Meditech for accurate and timely documentation • Adhering to hospital-wide policies and unit-specific guidelines • Floating as needed to telemetry, medical/surgical, or observation units Qualifications: • Current RN license with telemetry nursing experience • Advanced knowledge of cardiac patient management after procedures • Ability to titrate IV medications safely and effectively • Comfortable working in a fast-paced cardiac progressive stepdown unit • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Professional appearance, wearing required royal blue scrubs top and black pants Schedule: • Self-scheduling with weekend commitments, including three weekend shifts in four weeks on days or four weekend shifts in four weeks on nights • No on-call requirements Location Insight: Lenexa, KS is part of the vibrant Kansas City metropolitan area, known for its friendly community, excellent amenities, and convenient access to urban and outdoor activities.
