Supply Chain Senior Manager at Metro Elevator

Location: Remote with travel to regional offices as needed. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 20% for vendor meetings, office visits, and strategic initiatives. Metro Elevator is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our procurement transformation initiative. Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain, this role will be responsible for executing our strategic vendor consolidation program, negotiating Master Supply Agreements with key suppliers, and building the foundation for a world-class procurement operation. As we expand, we are seeking a strategic procurement leader to optimize our $75M+ annual spend and build lasting supplier partnerships. Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities: Vendor Negotiations & Relationship Management (50% of time) • Lead negotiations for 40-60+ corporate Master Supply Agreements with key suppliers • Manage strategic partnerships with top 20-40 vendors including major industry suppliers • Conduct quarterly business reviews with major suppliers to ensure performance and value delivery • Resolve vendor performance issues, escalations, and contract disputes • Build and maintain strong relationships with supplier executives at all levels Procurement Strategy Execution (30% of time) • Execute the 30-60-90 day vendor consolidation plan to reduce supplier fragmentation • Develop and implement category strategies controllers, machines, doors, fixtures, and electrical supplies • Identify and capture cost savings opportunities through strategic sourcing and volume leverage • Establish direct purchasing policies and procedures to optimize spend efficiency Operational Management (20% of time) • Oversee daily procurement operations across 30+ offices nationwide • Manage vendor onboarding, qualification, and ongoing performance monitoring • Track and report monthly savings, KPIs, and procurement metrics to leadership • Support division leadership with procurement questions, training, and issue resolution Key Deliverables: First 120 Days: • 2-4 corporate MSAs signed covering $10M+ in addressable spend • Establish baseline procurement metrics and reporting cadence First Year: • 20+ corporate MSAs covering 50%+ of addressable spend • Key strategic relationships optimized with top suppliers • Direct purchase policy operational across all offices • $3M+ in documented savings through strategic initiatives Required Qualifications: • 7-10 years of procurement/supply chain experience in the Vertical transportation industry or related industry • Proven negotiation skills with demonstrated success negotiating multi-million dollar contracts • Track record of building and managing strategic vendor relationships • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field • Strong communication and influence skills-able to work effectively with field operations, executives, and supplier partners • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and spend analytics • Project management capability-able to manage 10+ initiatives simultaneously Preferred Qualifications (a plus, but not required): • Elevator industry experience (service, modernization, or new construction) • Construction or skilled trades industry experience (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or similar) • Multi-site procurement experience managing purchasing for 10+ locations • ERP system proficiency (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms) • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM Ideal Candidate Traits: • Assertive negotiator-not intimidated by vendors or internal stakeholders; confident in driving favorable outcomes • Relationship builder-people enjoy working with them; earns trust from vendors and field offices alike • Detail-oriented-contracts are bulletproof; nothing falls through the cracks • Self-starter-takes initiative, solves problems independently, and doesn't require handholding • Collaborative-works effectively across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and field teams Why Join Metro Elevator: Joining Metro means becoming part of a team that is intensely dedicated to one another-our growth, safety, and satisfaction-and relentlessly focused on delivering excellence for our customers.
