Student Counsellor – Admissions & Career Guidance

XIPHIAS, in collaboration with NextGen iQ connects skilled Indian students to paid internships and roles with Australian firms and KPOs. Australian‑certified trainers and a global curriculum ensure every student gains real‑world skills. Role purpose To guide prospective learners and their families through program discovery to enrolment, ensuring an excellent advisory experience and smooth handover to training and placement teams. Key responsibilities • Conduct counselling sessions via calls, walk‑ins and webinars to map learner goals to the right program and internship pathway. • Manage the admissions funnel: inquiries → demos → assessment → offer → enrolment, maintaining accurate CRM records. • Collaborate with trainers and placement teams to align learner expectations with curriculum and career‑support services. • Organize demo classes, alumni talks, placement briefings and outreach events. • Provide basic employability support (resume guidance, interview scheduling) and ensure timely fee counselling and onboarding. • Track learner satisfaction, resolve queries and promote a student‑centric culture. Must‑have qualifications • 1–2 years of experience in student counselling/admissions or inside sales, preferably in EdTech or training institutes. • Excellent communication and rapport‑building skills in English and Hindi; empathetic, consultative approach. • Ability to explain Australian accounting career paths, internships and job‑ready skills. • Structured follow‑ups, CRM discipline and comfort with targets and weekly reporting. Nice to have • Prior experience in counselling for accounting/finance or international programs. • Event‑hosting skills and familiarity with WhatsApp/Zoom/Google Meet workflows.
