Sr. Automation Test Lead - Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Automation Testing Lead to join our dynamic team in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will lead automation efforts for critical GIS projects, ensuring robust testing processes, successful releases, and optimal performance of applications. You will play a key role in developing, managing, and enhancing automation test suites, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing support to end users. Key Responsibilities: Automation Leadership & Delivery: • Lead the automation testing team for the ArcFM and DXI applications and oversee all automation deliverables, including functional, performance, and regression testing. • Drive the automation strategy and ensure successful releases by managing the testing lifecycle and coordinating with stakeholders. Test Case Development & Execution: • Gather and analyze requirements to assess test case feasibility for automation. • Plan, develop, and execute automation scripts using tools such as UFT, Java, VBScript, and C#. • Enhance the automation suite by developing innovative features like overnight schedulers for test automation and health checks. Performance & API Testing: • Collaborate with the performance testing team by providing application knowledge, endpoints, and support for JMeter and other tools. • Use Fiddler, Postman, and JMeter to test and validate API endpoints and analyze network traffic. Database Testing & Repository Management: • Conduct database testing using SQL and Oracle, ensuring the integrity and performance of test data. • Manage the code repository using Git and implement best practices for version control. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: • Coordinate with business teams, developers, and other stakeholders to manage risks and ensure seamless releases. • Provide end-user support, including user training and issue resolution, resulting in effective adoption of the DXI application. Defect Tracking & Reporting: • Use Azure DevOps for tracking requirements, test cases, defects, and release progress. • Propose improvements to the automation suite and oversee the implementation of optimized testing approaches. Continuous Improvement: • Identify technical challenges within the automation framework and develop effective solutions to enhance testing efficiency. • Keep up-to-date with the latest testing tools, trends, and practices to improve team capabilities. Must Have • Automation Test Engineer • Automation testing of client server and web applications • Automation Testing skills • Automation Testing Tools • Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT) • QA Manual & Automation Tester • software testing experience • System Testing • Testing experience • UFT Nice To Have • acceptance testing • accurate testing and troubleshooting • administration and testing of Enterprise GIS and Database Projects • Agile SDLC • ArcGIS > ArcMap • Azure DevOps • ESRI • ESRI ArcGIS • ESRI ArcMap • SDLC Required Skills & Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in automation testing and leading test teams. • Expertise in using UFT for test automation, including regression testing and health checks. • Proficiency in Fiddler, Postman, JMeter, and SQL for API and database testing. • Strong programming knowledge in Java, VBScript, and C#. • Experience with Git for version control and Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking. • Excellent understanding of automation frameworks and hands-on experience in building and enhancing test suites. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills. • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders. • Experience in user training and issue resolution. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in ArcFM and DXI testing. • Hands-on experience in performance testing tools and techniques. • Strong organizational and documentation skills. • Familiarity with agile and iterative development methodologies.
