Overview The Patient Coordinator (PC) is the first point of contact with patients who are seeking medical assistance and support from their doctor. The PC builds an immediate trust with the patient as well as provides compassion and empathy using customized scripting. The PC accurately documents the patient's needs prior to the patient speaking with a nurse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Answers incoming calls using approved scripting in handling emergency and non-emergency calls. • Identifies and forwards calls promptly to nurses through the phone screening process. • Documents non-medical information such as physician referral. • Communicates promptly issues of concern to management. • Maintains confidentiality of all protected health information and other TeamHealth related information We Are Currently Recruiting For The Following Split Shifts: Option A: M/T/W/Th: 7AM-10:30AM /4:30PM-9:00PM EST; Fri/Sat/Sun: 12:30PM-9:00PM EST Option B: M/T/W/Th: 6:30AM-9:30AM/4:30PM-9:30PM EST; Fri: 12PM-8:30PM; Sat/Sun: 10A-6:30PM EST Option C: M/T/W/Th: 8AM-12:30PM/4:30PM-9:00PM EST; Fri: 11:30AM-9:00PM; Sat/Sun: 9A-6:30PM EST Option D: M/T/W/Th: 8:30AM-11:00AM/3:30PM-9:00PM EST Fri/Sat/Sun: 11A-7:30PM EST REMOTE: TRAINING CLASS DATES 100% ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED December 8 thru December 12, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm EST December 15 thru December 19, Monday-Friday 11am-7pm EST Job Requirements: Qualifications / Experience • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s Degree preferred. • 1+ years of customer service experience required. Inbound call center experience preferred. • 1+ years of healthcare experience desired. • Call Center, Medical Office/Clinic, front desk, or first point of contact in a customer service environment preferred. • Intermediate to proficient computer skills. • Ability to follow scripted information while interacting with patients and a willingness to escalate situations as appropriate. • Excellent listening and comprehension skills to determine key information by patient. • Ability to handle confidential information. • Accurately process and document information ensuring data integrity. Remote Workstation / HIPAA Requirements Must have a high speed internet connection (5G Internet not acceptable). Workstation must be located in a room where door can be locked.
