The Office Assistant will assist leadership with routine clerical tasks, including filing, scheduling, and data entry, while maintaining communication with patients and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities • Assists with routine clerical/office tasks, answers telephone calls, and delivers messages • Pulls, reviews, and follows up on reports of orders recert and unverified visits • Maintains an up-to-date medical record by scanning documents timely and completing EOE audits as appropriate • Completes discharge chart reviews, performs audits, processes orders to/from physicians, and tracks for timely receipt • Communicates professionally within the organization and with external sources (physicians, patients, family members, referral sources, etc.) Skills • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation • Computer skills, clerical-business machine skills, telephone communication skills, and be able to type • General clerical skills and organizational skills • Able to work independently and as a team member Benefits • Comprehensive benefits package • Incentive and recognition programs • Equity stock purchase • 401k contribution Company Overview • Optum is a healthcare company that provides pharmacy services, health care operations, and population health management.
