Who are we looking for? • Teacher must be from the US or Canada. • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated professional experience teaching and/or tutoring online for at least 1 year, a Bachelor degree in English, K-12 English Education, elementary education, or a related field. Teachers should ideally have either a TEFL or TESOL certificate. • Please, do not apply if you intend to only teach for a few weeks. Our courses are built to last for 15 weeks with minimal interruptions. We expect kind, respectful, reliable, and high-quality candidates. Essential to pass a background check. • Must read and answer texts and emails as soon as possible. • The ideal candidate will understand the concept of time zone difference and work with it daily and comfortably. • US work authorization only. What would make you stand out from the crowd? • Some experience in teaching English to elementary students as a second language. • Remote teaching experience (including homeschooling, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, and other experiences) is preferred. • Teaching certification is preferred. What do we provide to you? • Access to materials for classes and access to an amazing user-friendly platform • For equity of all teachers, all base salaries are 15 dollars an hour for the first three months. After the first three months, teachers will be evaluated to see if they are eligible to go on to tier 2 teaching which qualifies them for multiple types of bonuses. Responsibilities • Implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of young learners. • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques. • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to ensure each child's learning needs are met. • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student development. • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices in early childhood education. • Provide mentorship and support to students, encouraging their growth and confidence in learning English.
