Remote Patent Prosecution Legal Secretary Chemical, Biotech, Biopharma, or Mechanical patent prosecution. You must live in Texas to be fully remote. The firm values tenure and requires at least 2 years in each job. FULLY REMOTE* CDT Zone Hours: 10:30 am to 7 pm or 11 am to 7:30 pm Paid overtime: this role will work with partners in California and across the US. $75,000-$85,000, depending on legal experience, skills, and education. The firm seeks a full-time patent prosecution secretary with at least 3+ years of U.S. patent prosecution and application filing and prosecution experience. This position supports several timekeepers in Chemical, Biotech, Biopharma, or Mechanical Patent prosecution, including coverage support needed for secretarial absences in the department. Duties: • Prepare U.S. patent applications, amendments, and other legal documents for e-filing and reporting. • Prepare reporting letters for the client to review by the timekeepers. • Prepare expense reports for timekeepers. • Work with Firm Travel to coordinate timekeeper travel arrangements. • Correspond directly with clients as requested. Knowledge and Skills Required and Preferred: • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. • 3+ years of patent application filing and prosecution experience in Chemical, Biotech, Biopharma, or mechanical Patent prosecution. • Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. • Strong attention to detail. • Solid knowledge of Windows 10 and bolthires Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Experience in a document management software, preferably iManage. • Experience in an IP Management Solution, preferably Inprotech. • Available for overtime as needed Benefits: 37.5-hour workweek, paid overtime, very stable and growing, fantastic healthcare benefits, dental, vision, AD&D, STD, LTD, 20 days PTO, life insurance, ten holidays, Discretionary bonus and contribution to the 401k, and a very social, open, diverse firm culture Company DescriptionBonnie Jones Associates, L.L.C. is your source for finding and filling permanent financial, accounting, administrative, legal, executive assistant, accounting and HR positions.
