Join the Music Kids Team as a Music Teacher and Enrich Student Development through Instrumental Education Music Kids LLC is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teachers to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. As a Music Teacher with Music Kids, you will have the opportunity to teach beginning level violin, piano, and guitar to students across our partner schools in Philadelphia, PA. Our program is expanding, and we are looking for leaders who are passionate about music education and want to make a positive impact on students' lives. About Music Kids Music Kids exists to enrich and improve student development by bringing musical instrument education programs into the local school environment. Our mission is to provide high-quality music education to students across the country, and we have taught thousands of students at over 40 active partner schools throughout DC, MD, IL, MA, NY, CT, and PA. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love of music. The Position As a Music Teacher with Music Kids, you will be responsible for teaching small group classes in one or more of our area partner schools. You will also be responsible for managing student records, providing meaningful learning updates to parents, and supporting students virtually. Our Faculty Members are expected to commit to one academic year at a time, with opportunities to extend employment for the additional 2 summer months. Key Responsibilities Teach beginning level violin, piano, and guitar to students in small group classes Manage student records and provide regular progress updates to parents Support students virtually and provide additional learning resources as needed Promote the program and drive enrollment at partner school events throughout the year Participate in professional development opportunities through collaboration with senior resident Faculty Members and staff Develop and implement lesson plans and curricula for beginner level students Communicate effectively with parents and students through regular email updates and progress reports Maintain a high level of organization and time management to ensure effective teaching and program management Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: At least 1-2 years of teaching experience, either in music classes or a traditional classroom setting Ability to teach one or more instruments at a beginning level (violin, piano, and guitar) Strong interest in working with a wide range of student age groups, especially beginning level students Passion for music education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives Ability to work independently and represent the organization as an employee at our partner schools Reliable, organized, timely, and possesses friendly verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching multiple instruments at a beginning level Experience with leadership or project management Ability to work closely with an office staff in administrative and professional development functions Owns a car to commute to/from our partner schools (optional in some cases, but strongly preferred) What We Offer Competitive Salary and Benefits: Our annual salary ranges for full-time (40 hr/week) 10 month positions from Year 1 to Year 5 are $45,760 - $68,640.
