Motion Graphics Artist (UX/UI Specialization)

Position: Motion Graphics Artist (UX/UI Specialization) Location: Fully Remote, US, CAN Temporary position (3 months contract) Crafty Apes is a high-end global visual effects company specializing in photo-real VFX. We are seeking a Motion Graphics Artist with a strong background in HUD, UI, and technical analysis style design and animation. The ideal candidate comes from a commercial or high-end production background, with proven experience delivering large-resolution, high-spec graphics under tight deadlines. JOB OVERVIEW: As a Motion Graphics Artist at Crafty Apes, you will design and animate cutting-edge HUD/UI motion graphics that integrate seamlessly into high-end productions. You will collaborate with VFX supervisors, directors, and designers to create dynamic, visually stunning graphics that enhance storytelling in both cinematic and commercial contexts. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design and animate HUDs, dashboards, UI elements, data visualizations, and technical analysis graphics. • Work at large resolutions (4K and above) with precision and efficiency. • Translate creative briefs, storyboards, and conceptual designs into polished motion graphics. • Collaborate with VFX and production teams to ensure seamless integration into shots and sequences. • Maintain consistency with project style guides and creative direction. • Deliver assets optimized for film, episodic, and commercial broadcast. • Stay current with design and animation tools, techniques, and industry trends. QUALIFICATIONS: • 4+ years of professional experience as a Motion Graphics Artist or similar role. • Portfolio showcasing HUD/UI and technical motion graphics work. • Advanced proficiency in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop; 3D tools (Cinema4D, Blender, or equivalent) highly desirable. • Strong sense of design, typography, and animation principles. • Experience producing commercial-quality assets at high resolutions. • Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines while maintaining quality. • Excellent collaboration and communication skills within a fast-paced, creative environment.
