At TELUS Health, you’ll be part of our U.S.-based remote Contact Center team, delivering real-time, solution-focused emotional well-being support through phone and chat for individuals and families accessing their EAP benefits. Whether you’re beginning your career or expanding your clinical expertise, your compassion, sound judgment, and steady presence will make a meaningful difference in helping individuals navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. What You’ll Do As a Counselor, you’ll provide immediate support and guidance to individuals experiencing emotional distress or crisis, using telephonic and chat platforms. Your responsibilities will include: • Providing single-session counseling, crisis intervention, and real-time support in a compassionate, ethical, and professional manner while maintaining strict client confidentiality • Conducting assessments to determine client needs and suitability for short-term counseling or referral • Managing high-risk situations, including suicide, self-harm, child welfare, and substance use concerns • Collaborating with participants to develop clear treatment or safety plans • Connecting participants with appropriate internal or external resources as part of a holistic care approach • Maintaining accurate and concise clinical documentation in our case management system • Adapting with professionalism and sound judgment in dynamic or ambiguous situations What We’re Looking For We’re seeking counselors who can thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, bringing resilience, adaptability, and strong clinical expertise.
