Local Service Utility Representative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Utility Service Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of safe and reliable electric service to the area served. The successful applicant will serve as the company's representative in the given geographic area and will perform an extensive variety of electric service work. Responsibilities:
- Perform an extensive variety of electirc service work including reading meters, installing, removing, connecting and disconnectining meters, performing transmission and distribution line-work, which will include climbing, service restoration, and service work.
- Respond to customers and clients to provide information, resolve issues, and promote products and services.
- Perform all credit and collection work.
- Must be available after hours for emergencies and restoration of service.
- Must ensure that assigned vehicle and equipment are properly maintained.
Experience:
- Must have at least 2 years related experience.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a utility environment.
- Must be self directed
- Provide leadership as the Company's Respresentative to the public in the area served.
- Must have up-to date knowledge of the National Electrical Coide (NEC) and MPUC rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of construction standards, rates, field operation, safety instructions and accounting manuals.
- Requires High School Education, College Education or Trade School certification

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49.48 per hour
