What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
? Answer and make phone calls to patients, insurance companies, and hospital departments
? Update and document financial data to ensure accurate reimbursement
? Participate in accounts receivable clean-up projects and other assigned tasks
? Provide training to new or existing staff as directed by leadership
? Work towards reducing call and wait times to improve customer satisfaction
What Is Required (Qualifications)
? High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
? Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
? 1-2 years previous customer service experience
? General accounting and bookkeeping skills
? Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
? Experience with systems or applications such as Epic or SSI
? Familiarity with medical billing and medical terminology
? Demonstrated leadership qualities and initiative in a team environment
