About the position The Healthcare Systems/Data Analyst position at Evernorth Health Services involves working closely with clients to analyze healthcare data and translate business needs into technical designs for ETL processes. The role requires a strong understanding of healthcare data standards and the ability to mentor others while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. Responsibilities • Analyze healthcare data and requirements to inform technical designs for ETL processes. • Conduct root cause analysis by reviewing application code. • Engage with clients to troubleshoot IT issues and provide support. • Mentor junior analysts and share knowledge of data analysis techniques. • Interpret customer data and business needs to develop effective solutions. • Review and optimize SQL stored procedures for data management. • Collaborate with diverse teams including peers, managers, and subject matter experts. Requirements • 5 - 7+ years' experience in systems analysis and data analysis within the healthcare industry. • Thorough understanding of customer data interpretation and business needs translation into technical designs. • Experience with root cause analysis of application code. • Proficiency in reading and understanding Python and/or Scala code in Azure. • Strong working knowledge of X12 standards in healthcare, including ANSI 837 Claims, 835, 834, 276 & 277, 270 & 271, 278, 999, TA1. • Solid knowledge of query languages and software design principles. • Understanding of data modeling design and data quality principles. • Experience with source file data extraction and complex data transformation processes. • Strong SQL Server experience, particularly with stored procedures. • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and interact professionally with diverse groups. Nice-to-haves • Experience with large datasets related to member and provider data. • Familiarity with all phases of software development including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support.
