Key Responsibilities: Inspiring Young Mathematicians As a Math Instructor or Senior Instructor at Mathnasium Commack, you'll play a vital role in shaping the math education of our students. Your primary responsibilities will include: Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, or through hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method ™ , terminology, and teaching practices Collaborating with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, ensuring each student receives personalized attention Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions to identify areas for improvement Becoming proficient in digital educational materials and processes to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching tools Checking in and out students, designing daily plans, and helping them with topic comprehension to ensure a smooth learning experience Interacting with parents during check-in and check-out to keep them informed about their child's progress and involve them in the learning process Maintaining a safe, professional, and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate We're looking for individuals who are passionate about math education and dedicated to making a positive impact on young lives. To be considered for this role, you'll need: A strong passion for math and a desire to share that enthusiasm with students Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues An eagerness to learn and be trained in our proprietary teaching methodologies Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2, with Pre-Calc, Calc, and Stats being desirable additional skills The ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities to ensure a productive and efficient learning environment A positive attitude, patience, and a love for working with children of all ages and grades (1-12) All applicants will be required to take a basic math literacy test to demonstrate their math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
