We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join our team, working remotely from the USA, to support our financial reporting, analysis, and compliance efforts. Job Overview This is a full-time, remote opportunity for an Accountant to work with our Corporate Expense Division, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of financial statements, account reconciliations, and compliance with sales and use tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations, as well as collaborating with senior accountants to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes. Key Responsibilities Prepare and examine financial statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting reports and documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting orders assigned to different accounts, making adjustments as necessary. Apply sound accounting principles and develop or recommend accounting procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with accountants, accounting clerks, and other stakeholders to participate in daily accounting activities, providing guidance and support as needed. Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, regions, and divisions to ensure seamless communication and compliance. Participate in financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly financial statements and other reports as required. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must: Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US. Have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in accounting or a related field. Have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. Advanced knowledge and expertise using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience with general ledger software, such as SAP or similar systems. Strong relational skills and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks, with excellent time management and organizational skills. Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-accounting stakeholders. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: Financial analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare and review financial statements and reports. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-accounting stakeholders. Computer application skills, including Excel, Access, General Ledger, and other accounting software. Ability to multitask and balance multiple high-priority tasks, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
