Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bilingual Paraprofessional (Spanish) to provide instructional support to students in our virtual and in-person academic programs. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure that students receive the guidance and resources they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities Provide virtual and in-person instructional support to individual or small groups of students in a variety of subjects, including mathematics, English language arts, science, history, and life skills Utilize effective instructional methods and strategies to achieve student goals and objectives, and assist in implementing practices proven to raise student achievement Assist in the preparation of lessons and instructional materials, and maintain accurate and up-to-date student records Attend virtual and in-person school meetings, including staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and student events Respond to student inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, and provide guidance and support to students as needed Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure that students receive the accommodations and modifications they need to succeed Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, and stay current with best practices in education Essential Qualifications Must have a minimum of 48 college units or hold a college degree One year of experience working with school-age children in an organized setting preferred Bilingual (Spanish) required State and federal fingerprint clearance (LiveScan) to work with students Proof of a clear TB test dated within the last 60 days upon employment and thereafter updated every four years Hold and maintain a valid California Driver's License, proof of automobile insurance, and full-time use of a dependable automobile that is insured pursuant to California regulations Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a virtual or online educational setting Knowledge of Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and other online collaboration tools Basic arithmetic calculation skills and ability to operate office equipment, including a calculator, copier, fax machine, and computer Conflict resolution and record-keeping skills, with ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders Ability to maintain a flexible and adaptable mindset, with willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic educational environment Demonstrated sensitivity to individual differences and cultural backgrounds, with ability to work effectively with diverse student populations Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At our organization, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our staff.
