About the Role We are seeking talented and enthusiastic substitute teachers to join our team in the San Jose area, including Sunnyvale, Los Gatos, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Redwood City, and San Mateo. As a substitute teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of schools, including KIPP NorCal, Aspire Public Schools, Hillbrook, and SF Friends. You will be responsible for creating engaging and inclusive learning environments, building strong relationships with students and staff, and delivering high-quality instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners. Key Responsibilities: Teach a range of subjects, including math, science, English, history, and special education, to students of varying ages and abilities Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and needs Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth Build strong relationships with students, teachers, and school administrators to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning community Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments, educational trends, and best practices in teaching and learning Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the support they need Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for education, a growth mindset, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be reliable, punctual, and professional, with a high level of competency, common sense, and fun. A background in education or a related field is desirable, as well as experience working with students of diverse ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
