About the Role As an ABA Autism Behavior Therapist, you will play a vital role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary responsibility will be to provide one-on-one in-home therapy sessions to children on the autism spectrum, working collaboratively with our team of experienced BCBAs to deliver personalized support and guidance. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children on the autism spectrum Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans Work collaboratively with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions Essential Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications: High School diploma or GED Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting 1-year ABA Experience (or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting) Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record Must have your own transportation and auto insurance in order to travel between clients Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families University Partnerships, Supervision, Practicum, and Mentoring experience (for aspiring BCBAs) Skills and Competencies: To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Physical ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills Career Growth Opportunities: At Key Autism Services, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our team members.
