About the position Responsibilities • Manage a team of freelance writers, assigning and editing content to meet production goals. • Update existing content for accuracy, helpfulness, and quality. • Collaborate with editorial and SEO teams on projects to improve content quality. • Promote brand and content through collaboration with social, newsletter, and SEO departments. • Track competitive landscape to identify trends and opportunities. • Occasionally write or produce new content in-house. Requirements • Undergraduate degree in journalism or communications, or equivalent experience. • Minimum 3 years of experience developing and curating digital content for web, email, and social environments. • Experience with writing content optimized for driving traffic from multiple sources. Nice-to-haves • Proactive and flexible team player with a sense of humor. • Enthusiastic about The Spruce brand and home-related topics. • Strong copywriting and editing skills. • Experience with content management systems and web analytics tools.
