About JerseySTEM All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit. Overview This is a pro-bono volunteer position. JerseySTEM built a MySQL base datawarehiouse with data coming from 30 data sources (API, CSV, Google Sheets) The DATA Engineering Team Lead is responsible for JerseySTEM ETL processes leading a team of 2-3 Engineers and a Data few interns. They will champion the use of Integrate.io (JerseySTEM preferred tool) across JerseySTEM Responsibilities • Coordinate and lead the Data Engineering Team to gather and organize information related to the various Business Units at JerseySTEM. • Collaborate with the Data Analytics Head to identify DATA Sources to bring into the datawarehouse. • Master the tool used at JerseySTEM (Integrate.io, MySQL) and champion the adoption of new tools as needed. • Assign tasks and provide guidance to Junior team members • Develop ETL monitoring processes to ensure transparency reagarding status, incidents.. • Interview, recruit and onboard team members Qualifications • Interse in the JerseySTEM Mission • University degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Database Administration, Data Science, Business Analytics. • Proven experience in data analysis and management. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
