As a Business Development Representative, you will generate leads, research accounts, and qualify appointments for the sales team, playing a crucial role in the success of sales efforts in the Aerospace & Defense and Federal market. Responsibilities Conduct cold calls and email sequences to generate new sales opportunities Perform research to understand the ideal customer persona, with a focus on ADFM personas and the value they contribute to our customers' roles Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and key developments within the Aerospace, Defense, and Federal sectors to effectively position Mendix Utilize strong communication skills to present the Mendix value proposition and engage with C-level and VP-level executives Collaborate with the Account Executive team on account strategy, messaging, qualification criteria, and participate in the early stages of the deal cycle Our BDR team functions as a hybrid (3 days mandatory in office) unit based out of our Seaport headquarters Tenacity to persevere through unique challenges, regulations, procurement processes, and trends within the ADFM sectors Skills Highly proactive Ambitious Results-oriented Eager to learn Strong sense of curiosity Experience in generating leads Ability to research accounts Skill in setting and qualifying appointments for sales teams Strong communication skills to present the Mendix value proposition Ability to engage with C-level and VP-level executives Collaboration skills with the Account Executive team on account strategy Tenacity to persevere through unique challenges, regulations, procurement processes, and trends within the ADFM sectors Company Overview Mendix is a low-code application development platform to create and improve multi-channel applications at scale.
