Business Analyst

The Retail Deposit Business Analyst role will support Manulife Bank’s Deposit product success by working closely with various teams to enhance systems and improve sales retention. The analyst will leverage best practices in system analysis and reporting to drive strategic changes in the deposit strategy. Responsibilities Change Management: Work with the Product team to understand, define, and test business requirements. Provide strategic direction to business stakeholders on defining processes and system enhancements. Work with Core Engineering (IT) to ensure changes are completed and tested Compensation Incentives: Strategically design a compensation system for both internal and external sales teams that brings new deposits into the bank and retains existing deposits at targeted rates Project Management: Prioritize requirements with business stakeholders and Core Engineering (IT). Guide large/complex projects from ideation to production release, and post-production support Liaise with business analyst partners in other Manulife business units to share best practices Skills Post-secondary education in Business, Economics, or Mathematics or equivalent business experience Prior experience in Change Management, Business Analysis, or Project Management Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems in a clear and concise manner to senior colleagues 1-3 years' experience as a Business Analyst in a previous role Strong Excel or Power BI Skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) Experience with SQL and/or Python is an asset Experience with JIRA and Confluence is an asset Previous experience in banking industry is an asset Benefits Health, dental, mental health, vision, short- and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance coverage, adoption/surrogacy and wellness benefits, and employee/family assistance plans Various retirement savings plans (including pension and a global share ownership plan with employer matching contributions) Financial education and counseling resources Generous paid time off program in Canada includes holidays, vacation, personal, and sick days Full range of statutory leaves of absence Company Overview Manulife is a leading international financial services group that helps people make their decisions easier and lives better.
