Reedsy’s vetted group of freelancers have worked with bestselling authors like Stephen King, Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games), E L James (Fifty Shades of Grey), or James Clear (Atomic Habits). We welcome experienced professionals in: - Book coaching - Query letter review - Editorial assessment - Developmental editing - Copy editing - Proofreading - Indexing As a Reedsy freelance editor, you will work one-on-one with talented authors in the genres of your interest, helping them along in their path to publishing their stories. You will select the projects you want to work on and determine your own rates and availability. Reedsy automatically handles contracts and payments so you can stay focused on your craft. REQUIREMENTS Besides delivering work that meets a high professional standard, you'll be expected to understand your clients' needs and guide them through the editing process with your knowledge of the industry and the market. This is why we require: - 3+ years of editing experience. - Experience working with recognised publishers in your niche. - Demonstrated experience on at least 5 published books that are well reviewed.
