Admissions Registered Nurse RN

PRN Position Specifics: o Department: Admissions o Schedule: PRN colleagues must work a minimum of (2) shifts per month, (1) winter and (1) summer holiday. o Facility: St. John’s Hospital o Location: Springfield, IL o Compensation: Aligns with experience o Differentials: PRN, Shift, and Weekend available for qualified hours worked Obtains required pre-admission information for the patients. Testing may include history and physical, laboratory work, EKG, radiology, and other pertinent testing. Reviews results with appropriate physician/provider(s). May make pre- and post- visit calls to patients. Education Qualifications • Associates degree in nursing is required. • Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Experience Qualifications • 2 years staff RN experience is required. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules. • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
